In the News: Michigan Gov. signs law broadening DNA collection for crimes

Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm has recently signed a law requiring that all persons arrested of a violent crime to provide a DNA sample. Previously, only those convicted of violent crimes were required to give DNA samples.
